Brevard Music Center, located in Brevard, North Carolina, is an active and vibrant organization, preparing and presenting the Summer Institute and Festival held from mid-June to early August each summer. Over 400 students, ages 14 through post-college, come to the Music Center to study with outstanding artist faculty and visiting guest artists of national and international acclaim. For seven weeks, talented students participate in a rigorous and enriching program of instruction including private lessons, large ensemble rehearsals, chamber music, and theory. They expand their education and delight audiences with the presentation of public performances throughout the summer.
Mentoring is an important aspect of the Brevard Music Center experience, with a close interaction of faculty and students. Living on the beautifully wooded Music Center grounds of 150 acres, faculty and students have the opportunity to perform together in large ensembles, and lessons and rehearsals are held on campus. Students observe and participate in recitals, master classes and chamber music concerts as part of the 80 performances in the Festival season.
The strong feeling of community and support makes Brevard Music Center an exceptional experience for students, faculty and patrons.

Comporium is a diversified communications company providing a Quintuple Play of five services — voice, video, data, wireless and security — at the retail level; as well as, providing security monitoring and directory publishing for its industry customers.
Comporium, which is headquartered in Rock Hill, S.C., provides communications services in York and Lancaster Counties in the Upstate; as well as, in parts of six counties in the Midlands: Lexington, Saluda, Edgefield, Orangeburg, Calhoun and Aiken. Comporium is also a major investor in Immedion, which is a data center that provides managed services such as network security, data backup, and server management. Immedion is based in Greenville, S.C., and is establishing another data center in downtown Columbia, S.C.
Further, to complement its own retail and wholesale Security business, Comporium has invested in Austin, Texas-based uControl, which provides a wireless Security, Monitoring and Automation (SMA) Platform that can combine an alarm system, communications gateway and home automation platform into one device. The SMA Platform enables broadband service providers to deliver the next generation of services for the “connected home.”
